Character History

Welcome to Wonderland, where only beings who has thrown away their dreams and regret can enter. Come and join ‘The Game to Kill the White Rabbit’, with rules made by the White Rabbit himself. There’s only one requirement to pass before you can start – Are you Alice?

This boy was. Or at least, he was now. With no memory, with no dream, with no regrets, with no name, he was lead into Wonderland by the Cheshire Cat and was dragged into the game. Named ‘Alice’ by the Cheshire Cat, he was explained the rule of the place. Always listen to the Queen of Heart’s orders.

In the game, there are many rules made by the White Rabbit to make sure people don’t just go off killing each other. Alice’s rule for the game was that he or she would be able to kill the White Rabbit, but nobody else. Which meant Alice was able to be killed by anyone. Being half threatened to join in the game, our Alice agrees to play in it if the Queen will grant him enough status to live in the place freely after Alice kills the White Rabbit. Just with that it was obvious that this Alice was not the same as any other ones. Partnered by the Mad Hatter whose ability was to kill the enemies of the Queen with his right hand and to kill who Alice says is an enemy with his left, they look for the White Rabbit.

It was clear that this Alice not the Alice in Wonderland everyone knew. Alice himself knew that, however since he declared his name as ‘Alice’ it didn’t matter. As Alice looks for the White Rabbit, one question hounds him – What is my name? If he’s not Alice, then what is his real name? The Queen of Hearts had explained that everyone in Wonderland was dragged into the country by the White Rabbit and was given a name by him. Alice knew however, that he was not dragged in. He willingly entered the country for his own reasons. But what? Besides, the White Rabbit never gave him the name ‘Alice’, it was the Cheshire Cat.

After his first meeting with the White Rabbit, Alice meets a girl that the White Rabbit seemed to care for dearly. A girl named Marianne. But Alice was sure he knew that girl, and her name wasn’t Marianne. It was Alice Liddell, his older sister. But the White Rabbit wouldn’t answer any of his questions, instead he tries to kill Alice since he wasn’t dragged in by the White Rabbit. This is where Alice first gets a motive. He wanted to live so that he would be able to find a dream and a motive. He didn’t want to die without having either of them. And it seemed that the Mad Hatter had gained a motive as well – To take Alice and escape from the country. But not our Alice, the Mad Hatter wanted to take the real Alice, Alice Liddell.

Now…as everyone knows, Alice Liddell had no younger brother. So then why has our Alice called her ‘Older sister’? On top of that, he knew that Alice Liddell had died 10 years ago….that he had killed Alice.

Meanwhile, the Mad Hatter had taken back his real name. And of course who else could he be other then…Lewis Carroll, the author of this mad story.

Then everything came into piece, the explanations came. The mystery was solved.

Alice Liddell had died 10 years ago due to a heart illness. Lewis Carroll, who had loved the little Alice so dearly, was driven mad by grief. He resolved to make his own reason for Alice’s death. And this is where Alice’s little brother comes into place. Lewis Carroll created Alice Liddell’s little brother on paper as the reason for Alice’s death. However, Lewis Carroll trashed idea midway. Crunched up the paper and threw it in the wastebasket without giving the little brother any name or any history. The only pages Lewis Carroll wrote about the little brother were the fact that he was Alice’s brother and that he was the reason for Alice’s death. Alice? was based on the 3rd Liddell that died before it could be born, due to the mother's death of a heart illness. Alice Liddell often wished for the little sibiling was a little brother, so thus when Lewis Carroll wrote Alice? he was a brother.

He lived inside of Alice Liddell for a short while, actually materialized. However, Charlotte, the oldest brother, told Alice? that as long as he was alive and had Alice's name Lewis would never be able to remember her name. So, with a kiss and confession, Alice? gave back the girl her real name, turning into just pages and fluttering away. It was shortly after this that Alice Liddell died and the whole Game started.

Soon after, Lewis Carroll ripped up his own world, he ripped up Wonderland. And that is where the White Rabbit came into play. He picked up the pieces of the ripped up story and pieced it together the best he could. The White Rabbit then came up with the games and rule so that Lewis Carroll will re-start the story of Alice in Wonderland. So that Alice Liddell would be able to have a proper burial place…in Wonderland. The White Rabbit loved Alice as well. Everyone in Wonderland did. That was why the White Rabbit didn’t want Lewis Carroll keeping Alice for himself. The White Rabbit was convinced that Lewis Carroll would make Alice unhappy. And so, Lewis Carroll became the Mad Hatter and was trapped inside the place he made.

Now, the Cheshire Cat’s real name was Dinah, Alice Liddell’s pet kitty. However, after Alice had died, he had thrown away his own name and wandered away. After all, Dinah hated being lonely. What he set out to do was to get Lewis Carroll out of Wonderland. Although Cheshire Cat didn’t like him too much, he felt sorry for Lewis. That was why the Cheshire Cat went to go get the little brother out from the trash can. Naming him Alice, he lead the boy into Wonderland as the last Alice to play the game.

What Lewis Carroll needed to get out of the Wonderland was not the death of the White Rabbit, but instead the death of the one with that needed a reason for Alice’s demise. Which meant Alice? had to die. Giving back Marianne her real name, he set out to Lewis Carroll’s house to make the last move. Alice? made a deal to Lewis Carroll. In exchange for Alice?’s death, Lewis was to give Alice? a real name and a history to support the fact that he existed. Plus a hat. Alice? explained that the reason he killed Alice Liddell was that he loved Alice so much that he didn’t want to hand him over to Lewis Carroll. Alice Liddell was everything to the brother. With that, Alice? was supposed to pull the trigger and die.

But instead, the real Alice appeared and killed herself. Either way, the game had ended, and Lewis Carroll was out of Wonderland, even though the second death of Alice had deeply scarred him. Everyone that was trapped in the place was freed by the White Rabbit, back out to the real world. The White Rabbit was to stay inside the broken Wonderland. Alice? was sent back to the land of the wastebasket. His world was now only a few pages worth of land, always raining. He had sworn to wait for Lewis Carroll to get better and start writing the story again. So that Alice? could have a name once more. He promised to wait this time, and not forget.

However what he didn’t know was that after Lewis Carroll finished Wonderland he had died.

And thus he still waits in the cold, dark, raining world for Lewis Carroll to give him a real name.

Character Personality

Alice? in one word is a child. He never got his character developed by Lewis Carroll. His way of thinking is like of a baby. He doesn’t know anything. All he can do is live the best he can. Everyone in front of him is either an enemy or an ally. One of his favorite things to ask the Mad Hatter is ‘Can I shoot him?’ He has a rather short temper and a bad mouth, not really nice to everyone. But he gets drifted along pretty easily. In one word he is a bit of tsundere. He can get lazy at times… And he knows he has a pretty bad personality.

Although he declares Alice is everything to him, he also has this small feeling of jealousy towards her. How come Lewis Carroll loves Alice so much but not him? Why was he trashed? Was he useless? Was he unneeded? However despite this questions, Alice? loves her very much. Even if Alice Liddell was his elder sister, Alice? loved her and wanted to take her from Lewis one day.

The three things he wants most in the whole world is probably ‘A name’, ‘A past’, and ‘A parent (or anyone) to love him’.

Abilities/Special Powers

Alice’s ability is..well, now that the game has ended, he no longer has the ability to kill the White Rabbit. So I guess his only ability is to….insult people? However he knows how to handle a gun pretty well. Plus he so doesn’t mind beating someone up in a fist fight.
